Chicago's DAD was founded in 2012 by current owner and hobbyist detailer, Frank McGovern. It is currently a one man shop with the ability to add a second employee if needed for larger projects. This business was created after the noticeable difference of what can be achieved when you prioritize quality and abilities over quantity and unnecessary upsells. We value having an eagle eye for defects that car owners and even other detailers gloss over. We pride ourselves in having an eye for the little things, ensuring to remember a quality project is all in the details. They don't call it detailing for nothing.
Frank McGovern is a former Marine who served with VMU-2, a unit under the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, for two deployments to Iraq. As an intelligence analyst, he learned about the necessity for details and expectations of others looking for nothing but excellence in everything he does. It has been engrained in him that the smaller details can change the overall big picture more than most realize. He currently works in cybersecurity for an international private contractor firm, focusing strongly on network security policy, architecture, and data integrity.
Chicago's DAD was created as a side business for the absolute love of changing the appearance of vehicles. Being able to see before and after pictures and looks is the reason Frank McGovern entered this business. It is for this reason that he believes that you can easily see the distinction between quality over quantity.
